A second stage of KARATE study is the practicing of Kata.

Kata are a Japanese specific term for all Martial Arts and it define the notion of model, shape. On one-way Kata represents a predetermined blow and defend technique series, which are simulated an attack or defense against one or more enemies, which might be armed or unarmed. So Kata  is the choreography of the attack and defense. The intensive practicing of Kata represents an indispensable part of KARATE training and lead to perfection of technical skills. On other way trough Kata practicing, each student it develops not just his driving qualities but also a strong personality which makes him a well-balanced and healthy person.

Each Kata has his own unique character. Some of them are very hard and requires an execution with power and force thus giving the feeling like a tank whish can't be stopped, and others are executed slowly just like some dances. This character difference doesn't have any influence about the one technique or another, each preceding it is executed with his power, speed and concentration.

It is relevant, for an real progress in Kata studies, the only method is an long and hard training and more correct and detailed information.

In this way, one Kata may be studied and analyzed in more other ways, which depends on history, tradition ritual aspects or even medical way.

An angle from which part the Kata may be studied is the symbolic. The way of symbols understanding, it never submitted to some strictly rules. For example, an ensemble of elements from one Kata the meditation about this ensemble it leads to the analysis. One first level of meditation is the subconscious, conscious and supraconscious, another level is earth, sky and man, another: sensitive or affective perception, the meditative perception and total perception. If we analyze, for example, the medium level techniques (chudan techniques), we can observe that they coexist in same way most exactly the subconscious, conscious and supraconscious are on the level which may be reached by human being or that earth, sky and man are parts of the same Universe and which coexist together and which is completing each other.

Another way for the study of Kata is the ritual. Kata like a ritual it is the expression of mystical and religious conscious of the Far East. The ritual Kata are different by others and are practiced in certain ways and moments.

Another interpretation of Kata is the study of this like an art. This way belong exclusively to classic Japanese KARATE it is little known by the most peoples who practicing Martial Arts. For Japanese people Kata is the high level of creativity and it is considered first of all an art and then a sport. Art of Kata is the art of human being. Perfection it is not just an exterior appearance, but is also an experience for our interior status.

One last way for Kata studying is the psychological way. Thus the practicing of Kata may be used as a therapy or a relaxation. So, how the Kata are the perfect order and it can influence our subconscious, so thus our "individual way" can show us the answers which we looking for, Kata being in this case just like a medium.

The idea about Kata has a remarkable importance because it leads us on the way of interior sensation, to the meeting point whit the people that create this movement shapes. Thus Kata will communicate us the emotions and spiritual statuses it like the master who create this Kata's. Looking at Kata study as an ultimate interior evolution, Kata it will reflect a spiritual status more than a technical.

So, Kata don't must be executed as an exercise. It will practice like a meditation. And when we practice a Kata, it is more important what you think about that and not others.

"Don't think bout technique. Try to feel it"
